Emma Marie Leighton 1914-2003

Suddenly on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Leighton. Loving mother of Robert Chaisson, Beatrice During, Bernie Chaisson, Douglas Chaisson, Sandra Rowland and her late husband Trevor, Debra Kumarzow and her husband John, Linda McLean and her husband Al and Lea Leighton. Dear sister of Helen Cooke. Emma will be sadly missed by many of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by her son Joseph Chaisson and daughter Joyce McNeil. A memorial service will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home “NewMarket Chapel” 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket on Friday March 28, 2003 at 1’Oclock. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

DEAN MELOCHE (1994 - 2006)

LA FAMILLE MELOCHE a le regret de vous faire part du décès de DEAN MELOCHE 1994 - 2006 de Gatineau, Québec, autrefois d'Ottawa, Ont., décédé le mardi 22 août 2006, à l'âge de 12 ans. Il était le fils adoré de Julie Meloche (Alain Brown); outre sa mère, il laisse dans le deuil ses grands-parents maternels Claude Meloche et Sylvie Simard; ses arrière-grands-parents maternels Ovide et Jeannette Meloche, Aurèle et Aline Simard; un arrière-arrière-grand-père Armand Chatelain. Lui survivent également sa tante Trina Meloche, ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes et ami(e)s. La famille recevra parents et ami(e)s à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE LAMARRE & FILS, 453, rue St-Philippe, Alfred, Ont., 613-679-2802, le vendredi 25 août 2006 à compter de 18h. Heures de visites: vendredi de 18h à 22h et samedi à compter de 9h. Le service religieux aura lieu le samedi 26 août 2006 à 11h, en l'église St-Jean-Baptiste à L'Orignal, Ont.; inhumation au cimetière paroissial. Journey on earth came to a peaceful end early Saturday, June 27, at the Bayview Residence in Pointe Claire, Quebec. His loving and very devoted grand-daughter, Melissa Leighton, was at his side, as she had been for the last three years, always present taking care of his needs and ensuring that he had the very best care possible. Melissa spent many sleepless nights being there when her grandfather need her most. Words are not enough to express the gratitude on behalf of all us for Melissa’s outstanding contribution in maintaining the best quality of life possible until his final breath.

Survived by his brother William. George was the father of  George Jr, Nancy Kizner, Barbara Aubut, Sandra Crotty, Stephen Leighton, Sharon Tasse and Belinda Leighton. He was predeceased by his son Wayne Robert Leighton, his loving wife Evangeline (Carr) Leighton. George was a Grandfather of 12 and a great-grandfather of 13. A special thank you, to Annalea Liberty Leighton for over 40 years of dedication, love and care of George. He was 89.

Our family also wants to recognise the outstanding care of all the staff and volunteers of the Bayview Center, with special mention to Ava and Rita.

Visitation will take place at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex on Monday, July 06, from 12-2 PM followed by a brief ceremony and reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

LA FAMILLE LEMIRE a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de MME Jeanne DENIS LEMIRE décédée le 15 mars 2010 à l'hôpital de Hull, à l'âge de 75 ans. Elle était l'épouse de Gérald Lemire et la fille de feu Alice Laquerre et de Léon Denis. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Nicole (Denis Roy), Jocelyne (Paul Scantland), Guylaine (Laurent Martineau), Danielle (Marc Leduc), Sylvie (Denis-Pierre Simard) et Marco (Diane Séguin); ses petits-enfants: Marc-André, Guillaume, Jérôme, Alain, Annie, Simon, Pascal, Andréanne, Marie-Pier, Karine, François, Philippe, Érika et Karolane. Elle laisse également ses frèreset soeurs: Cécile, Simone, Paul, Louis, Jean, Pierrette, Rose, Lucien, Henri, Benoît et Robert ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s et ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par sa soeur Noëlline. Elle sera exposée le jeudi 18 mars 2010 de 13h à 16h et de 18h à 21h au salon de la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS située au 95 boul. Cité-des-Jeunes à Gatineau (secteur Hull). Le service religieux aura lieu le vendredi 19 mars 2010 à 11h en la paroisse St-Joseph, sise au 245 boul. St-Joseph à Gatineau (secteur Hull). Pour ceux qui le désirent, des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur seraient appréciés. La famille désire remercier le personnel des soins intensifs de l'hôpital de Hull pour les bons soins prodigués.

1923-2010 - William C. Leighton of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, May 6th, 2010. Born in Moncton, March 9th, 1923, he was the son of the late Daniel and Annie (Collette) Leighton. A veteran of the Second World War, Bill served with the 8th Field Battery in the Canadian Army. He retired from the City of Moncton following many years of service. He was a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6. He is survived by his sons Michael (Lois) of Moncton, Clyde (Carol) of Halifax, Wayne (Cora Lynn) of Moncton, daughter Shelley Leighton-Kincade (Doug) of Quispamsis, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his special friend Joyce. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Doris, son Gary, sisters; Ida and Eleanor, brothers; Daniel "Buster", and George. There will be no visitation at the funeral home as per family request. A private service will be held. Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation, (Palliative Care Unit, 3600).
