2011

Christmas is a fun time from the child who is old enough to realize that it is a time of gifts, to the adult who enjoys giving gifts. It is also a religious time else we would not be celebrating it.

Christmas with the Tassé family starts early. We always put up our Christmas decorations beginning of December. This year was no different. Usually we have a tradition where Christmas eve is celebrated on the odd years at my house and Christmas Day celebrations are celebrated at the kids in-laws. On the Even years, it is reversed. This year, being 2011, the celebration occurred on Christmas eve. Matthew and his family have stopped coming Christmas eve given that they do not want to travel and want to spend Christmas morning at their own home. Thomas and Kathryn still come home. Having said all that, this year, since Lisa (Matthew's wife) was working, Matthew took the kids and came down for a few days and spent Christmas eve with all of us.

Next on 27 December comes the traditional Christmas celebration at my parents place - well actually they rent the hall (called Le Chateau) for our family get together. As you will see from the pictures, they need a big place because there are always a lot of people for the meal and then more people arrive after once the disco and dancing starts.
